I've been modelling since before I was 10 years old. The first model I made was an Airfix 1:72 Mk1 Harrier.
I first entered a competition as a 13 year old when I won an Air Cadet competition with an Airfix F4 Phantom in US Navy markings.
I've never really stopped modelling. My preferences are 1:72 RAF aircraft from any period. I've built 9 Matchbox Meteors with various conversions but the most built aircraft is the Spitfire - I've made 19 so far.
I also built lot of vacform kits and done a good number of conversions although I wouldn't call them scratch-builds.
Like Jeff, I joined Earley Risers from the Air Cadets group.
